First edition of a theological work about purgatory by Bartolomeo Camerario (1497- 1564), a jurist from Naples. Self-exiled in France, and later in Rome, after a death sentence, he devoted himself to theology. In these two dialogues, Camerario opposes Protestant ideas providing a series of arguments based on the Scripture passages to prove the existence of purgatory and define its nature.
